Southern Regional Area Health Education Center
Project Summary
This ground-up healthcare construction project delivered a new 55,000-square-foot, three-story medical office building designed to support clinical education, patient care, and healthcare training services. Developed for the Southern Regional Area Health Education Center, the facility includes modern clinical teaching spaces, pharmacy services, and general exam areas tailored to meet the evolving needs of healthcare professionals, educators, and patients.
Constructed in close proximity to an active existing medical facility, the project required a highly coordinated and intricate phased construction plan to minimize disruptions and maintain ongoing operations throughout the build. M. B. Kahn successfully managed building demolition, extensive sitework, utility coordination, and new facility construction while maintaining safety, schedule, and operational continuity.
The completed medical office building reflects M. B. Kahn’s expertise in healthcare construction, medical education facilities, phased campus development, and complex occupied-campus projects. Designed to support long-term healthcare growth and workforce development, the facility provides flexible, modern healthcare environments that enhance patient care and clinical training capabilities across the region.
