Scotia Village Continuing Care Retirement Community

Project Summary

Scotia Village is a premier Life Plan Community (LPC) serving seniors in Laurinburg and the Sandhills region of North Carolina. M. B. Kahn Construction has partnered with this repeat client on multiple projects over the years, providing construction expertise for the community’s evolving needs.

The latest project included approximately 20,000 square feet of new construction and 35,000 square feet of renovations to common areas, the kitchen, and staff spaces. Renovations included upgraded finishes, electrical systems, and mechanical systems, enhancing the functionality and experience of the community while supporting ongoing operations.

Delivered through an alternative delivery method with an open-book Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), the project provided the owner with cost transparency and greater control throughout construction.
