Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union
Project Summary
Rendering by Quackenbush Architects. The credit union consolidated its operations into a new mixed-use headquarters in downtown Columbia, adjacent to the organization’s original 1950s building. The site sits within a historic district known for its pre–Civil War churches and is just blocks from where the credit union was founded in 1936, when 10 teachers pooled $50 to launch the institution. The new facility blends modern workplace needs with community-focused amenities, creating a central hub for employees, members, and tenants.
