Lexington 2 Innovation Center “L2iC”
Project Summary
This district-wide Innovation Center provides high school students with hands-on opportunities to explore college and career pathways while earning dual-enrollment and Advanced Placement credits. Designed to support career and technical education (CTE) and workforce development, the facility brings together specialized learning environments for a diverse range of programs.
Programs include Advanced Manufacturing, Automotive Technology with EV components, Barbering, Building Construction, Culinary Arts with a full commercial kitchen, Computer Programming, Cosmetology, Digital Art and Design, Engineering, Firefighting, Health Science, Small Animal Care, Multimedia and Animation, Sports Medicine, Programming, and Construction, including dedicated welding and electrical labs. The building also features a flexible, dual-use school performance stage and community meeting room.
The Innovation Center gives students access to industry-focused training and modern facilities that help prepare them for college, skilled careers and the evolving workforce. This project represents M. B. Kahn Construction’s expertise in CTE facility construction and workforce development centers.
