Innovative Micro Hospital Design
Designed to provide hospital-level care within a more efficient and community-focused setting, the micro hospital concept supports faster access to emergency, surgical, diagnostic, and inpatient healthcare services. This new micro hospital includes a full-service emergency department with 28 patient beds, rooftop helipad, trauma and triage rooms, a surgery center, endoscopy suites, a cardiac catheterization lab, an inpatient acute care nursing unit, and comprehensive imaging services.
A key factor in the project’s success was the use of an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) model, which fostered early collaboration between the design team, healthcare stakeholders, and M. B. Kahn throughout planning and construction. The collaborative delivery approach supported efficient decision-making, helped manage project risk, and aligned the project team around the healthcare provider's operational goals.
From advanced medical systems coordination to patient-centered healthcare environments, the project demonstrates M. B. Kahn’s expertise in healthcare construction, emergency department construction, surgical facility development, and innovative hospital delivery solutions for healthcare administrators seeking modern, scalable healthcare facilities.
